Become a Member of the Chapter

In accordance with ANS national guidelines, all members of the University of Florida Student Section of the American Nuclear Society are required to be national ANS members. For students enrolled in a college or university, ANS student membership requires an annual fee of $35. Benefits of an ANS membership include free access to nuclear technical publications, scholarship opportunities, discounts on conferences, nuclear job postings, connections with like-minded individuals across the nation, and, of course, membership into our Student Section!

More information on becoming a national ANS member can be found here

Membership in our Student Section is open to all enrolled students once they join ANS National. Non-enrolled students, spouses, faculty, and staff may be associate members; however, they may not vote or hold office. No person may be denied membership on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, physical disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity. All members and associate members are free to leave and disassociate without fear of retribution, retaliation, or harassment.

Become a Student Officer

Student Officers are elected annually by our Section members. Each Officer shall serve for one year until the next election. Elections are held annually in April. To be eligible for a student officer position, candidates must be national ANS members, current members of our Student Section, and have completed their freshman year prior to their term of office(over 30 credit hours completed).

Information on upcoming elections will be announced in our spring GBMs.
